Tesla is seeking an Operations Lead to join the Energy Technical Content Team in Hayward, CA. Our team is responsible for enabling service technicians to meet Tesla’s standards through accurate, accessible, and streamlined documentation (written and media). You will play a key role in ensuring we execute on our highest priority initiatives, provide critical enablement for team efficiency and success, and identify strategic opportunities where our team can demonstrate its value and impact.
What You'll Do
Drive and manage key initiatives, keep projects on track, and proactively communicate across the business to ensure alignment and execution Create and manage team and project roadmaps Own integrating the AI tools into the content development workflow Analyze, organize, and communicate key metrics related to team contributions and progress, leveraging Jira dashboards and Confluence Communicate and collaborate with team members, subject matter experts, stakeholders and leadership, building effective working relationships Step in to support writing or localization projects as needed Support service and install efficiency work Develop and reinforce team enablement, including processes and guidelines, ensuring consistency across the content we create and in how we create it
What You'll Bring
Degree in English, Technical or Professional Writing, Communications, or equivalent experience 5 years of technical writing experience or related professional experience in a high-tech environment collaborating with technical subject matter experts Exemplary communication skills, including the ability to form effective relationships with team members and stakeholders, communicating at all levels across the organization Experience using AI applications in daily life or in the work environment, and a curiosity about leveraging and improving them Cheerful outlook and flexibility toward frequent change and inevitable mid-project priority modifications Strong attention to detail, personal organization, and time management skills Proficiency using tracking and productivity tools such as Atlassian JIRA and Confluence Familiarity or experience with XML, and DITA, and video production or content localization workflows
