Tesla’s Battery Cell - Supplier Industrialization team is responsible for battery cells, raw materials’ new process development and qualification, quality engineering activities at suppliers. The Supply Chain Program Manager will work closely with many organizations both internal and external to Tesla, taking new battery raw material designs from initial concept through into mass production. In this role, you will serve as the representative of battery cell supply chain organization and act as the central point of contact between Tesla internal teams - Supply Chain function including Tesla’s Executive Team, Engineering, and Manufacturing organizations.

What You'll Do
Develop a deep understanding of the Tesla Qualification Process to ensure new materials are properly qualified to meet production demand and quality standard Drive timely material qualifications with cross functional stakeholders to identify critical path and to meet material readiness milestones such as sample delivery, manufacturing trials, and factory bring up Drive issue resolution and mitigation actions at the suppliers like factory readiness delays, production bottlenecks, and supplier quality issues with the supplier industrialization engineering team Communicate concisely & clearly to internal teams on risks of qualification/production, path to mitigation, and status of actions Translate technical problems and data to actionable plans with clear milestones and owners Enable & ensure factory/line readiness at multiple supplier sites before start of mass production Assesses, analyses, consolidates and communicates risk and status clearly, calling out key issues, and presenting path to resolution in cross functional forums at working level as well as to senior executives
What You'll Bring
Degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, or similar technical engineering discipline 5 years of program management experience. Preferably in battery NPI or manufacturing. Prior technical expertise (process development, or quality engineering, or design engineering) is preferred Experience in managing executive level presentations focusing on impact, actions, and milestones Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence cross functional stakeholders, especially senior management Ability to work independently on multiple tasks and projects with various stakeholders Highly organized with a strong attention to detail Demonstrated ability to establish business process issues and drive process improvement

$112,000 - $217,200/annual salary cash and stock awards benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
