Supply Chain Analyst, Raw Materials

What To Expect
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Supply Chain Analyst to join our direct procurement team, supporting our manufacturing operations through the direct sourcing of raw materials. These will include specific commodities related to our in-house and Tier 1 partner operations. This role will report to our Lead Supply Chain Manager and in parallel may be an active sourcing resource supporting our various Engineering groups within Tesla.

This position will be a member of our Supply Chain Organization supporting the development, implementation and management of strategies to provide Tesla with optimal supply assurance, pricing, flexibility, quality and delivery performance.

Tesla is a fast moving, dynamic environment where flexibility and adaptability are key attributes needed for success. A successful candidate will be a self-starter; motivated with some overall sourcing expertise.

What You'll Do

Owner of RFQ's; ensure Non-Disclosure Agreements, General Terms & Conditions, Piece Price Agreements, and other related contracts are negotiated, agreed and appropriately documented before business is initiated

Drive raw material price negotiation process to ensure that Tesla’s commodity pricing meet best-In-class expectations, while meeting supplier industrialization standards of best-In-class quality, in addition to driving continual cost reduction and avoidance initiatives through ad-hoc price negotiations

Address all areas of category management including category business plans, market conditions, cost modeling, and sourcing strategies, developing corrective action plans to mitigate identified risks

Manage respective supplier relationships and performance, including but not limited to dispute resolution, supplier scorecards, and periodic business reviews

Participate in cross-functional teams to support project timelines including developing and maintaining action trackers, Gantt charts, and other program management tools related to on-time delivery of supplier materials against Program timing

Analyze, interpret purchasing data using large and/or complex datasets, generate clearly illustrated reports, presentations for senior management

Work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, proactively manage multiple / changing deadlines in a time-constrained environment

What You'll Bring

Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering, Chemistry, and/or equivalent experience or evidence of exceptional ability

3 years of experience in supply chain management, commodity management, engineering, or manufacturing environment

Strong analytical skills for data analysis and cost evaluation

Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines

Experience communicating with external stakeholders, negotiations with suppliers

Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

Expected Compensation

$101,280 - $189,000/annual salary cash and stock awards benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
