What To Expect
Tesla’s Global Risk Management and Insurance Team oversees the company’s corporate insurance, risk management, and surety programs across all business components. The Senior Insurance Claims Specialist, Robotaxi will play a critical role in managing incident reporting and claim processes for Tesla’s Robotaxi and ride-hailing operations. This position serves as a claims expert, handling the end-to-end claims lifecycle, ensuring timely and accurate processing, maintaining compliance, and delivering exceptional customer service. Reporting to the Senior Risk & Insurance Manager, this role requires strong expertise and collaboration to support Tesla’s innovative transportation initiatives.
What You'll Do
Review incident submissions and report or escalate incidents to appropriate teams or claims systems Manage the entire claim lifecycle, ensuring timely reporting, confidentiality, and assignments to third-party adjusters while maintaining a customer-focused experience Supervise claim activity, collaborating with third-party administrators, insurers, and legal counsel for effective and timely resolutions Assess liability, damages, and settlement recommendations, approving payments within authority limits Conduct regular reviews with third-party administrators and carriers to evaluate performance, adjust reserves, and identify areas for improvement Analyze loss trends and claim data to identify patterns, root causes, and opportunities for risk mitigation Develop and maintain a risk management information system including custom applications and integrations for Robotaxi operations
What You'll Bring
Preferred 10 years of experience in corporate risk management, insurance company, or insurance broker claims management environment Expert knowledge of commercial auto liability and product liability and their applications Demonstrated experience with large, multinational insurance programs Ability to work independently and prioritize workload while meeting required goals and deadlines Strong interpersonal skills to influence and communicate effectively with insurance and non-insurance professionals Ability to develop strategic relationships and work collaboratively domestically and internationally Proficiency in computer software such as Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

$60,000 - $132,000/annual salary cash and stock awards benefits
