The Tesla Energy UI team is seeking an experienced Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our mission of accelerating the world's transition to sustainable energy. You will develop customer-facing tools that empower users to monitor, control, and maximize the value of their energy assets.
Powerhub is one such tool, Tesla's commercial energy management application helping certified installers, service teams, and plant operators maximize operational efficiency, uptime, and asset value for Megapacks, Powerwalls, and charging installations. Our team also builds fleet management tooling for Tesla's global Supercharger network and supports Virtual Power Plant programs that aggregate distributed energy resources to stabilize the grid. Your work will directly impact the energy industry by enabling intuitive, visually compelling experiences that transform how customers interact with their energy systems.
You'll collaborate closely with customers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to deliver extensible design systems and open-source quality solutions. What You'll Do
Contribute to the complete software development lifecycle for Energy UI applications, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time and meet high-quality standards Design, develop, and maintain full stack web applications, utilizing React, TypeScript, GraphQL, Rust and web tooling such as Module Federation to create highly performant and scalable user experiences Build, deploy, and scale web systems ranging from sites to middleware APIs using Git, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS and other relevant DevOps technologies Collaborate with teams to create and implement world-class UI/UX designs using Figma, ensuring accurate code implementation Work with cross-functional teams, including product managers, sales engineers, business stakeholders and other software engineers, to define and implement features that enhance operational efficiency for our customers Ensure that our web applications integrate seamlessly with backend distributed systems and support real-time monitoring of all applications owned by the team Contribute to the definition and implementation of extensible design systems that prioritize scalability, maintainability, and exceptional user experiences Implement rigorous testing strategies, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing, to guarantee the reliability and performance of applications under various conditions Actively maintain and promote the core values of the team, which include engineering excellence, curiosity, a bias for action, self-awareness, inclusivity, and vulnerability, contributing to a positive and productive team culture
What You'll Bring
Proven experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer with a strong focus on developing and delivering user-centric web applications using React, TypeScript, and GraphQL Solid understanding of web development best practices, design patterns, and scalability principles, including strategies for component reuse, such as module federation Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to understand complex business problems and design software solutions to address them Enthusiasm for staying at the forefront of technology trends and a commitment to continuous learning, particularly in the fields of renewable energy and sustainable technologies Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders from different functional areas Maintain the values of the team which include engineering excellence, curiosity, a bias for action, self-awareness, inclusivity, and vulnerability

$172,000 - $312,000/annual salary cash and stock awards benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
