What To Expect
Tesla is seeking a skilled engineer to join its Facilities Operations team at Gigafactory Texas.
What You'll Do
Integrate and standardize best safety practices for all chemical distribution systems Gas/chemical equipment and systems monitoring, including sustaining operations, maintenance, and process/equipment improvements Review/analyze data and monitor equipment to identify trends and ensure processes are running within specifications Evaluation of process requirements and specification of new gas and chemical delivery systems as required Daily interface with engineering and production providing technical support, supply issue resolution, and gas & chemical stops and starts as required Understand and apply Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) concepts and root cause failure analysis to open-ended problems Future scenario planning support including infrastructure budget and schedule forecasting, utilization and capacity data analysis, and reporting Project management for design, budget, contractor selection, mechanical & electrical construction, equipment installation, commissioning & qualification of new gas and chemical systems Developing and executing pre-startup and operation procedures, process and equipment Performing system based walkdowns. Creating, reviewing and clearing system punch list report Confirm operations readiness and assurance issues between operations personnel and construction/commissioning personnel. Interface and provide clarification and guidance and technical support to construction and commissioning teams Preparing proposals for modifications of facilities, control & safety schemes and process operating parameters to enhance safety, reliability and process performance
What You'll Bring
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or evidence of exceptional experience At least 1 years of gas and chemical systems operations experience; semiconductor facility, refining or battery manufacturing facility support preferred Hazardous production material (HPM) expertise Strong data and system analysis Strong troubleshooting background and issue resolution High tolerance of change Strong teamwork and communication skills Experience with design and installation of gas and chemical equipment, including piping systems and facility support equipment Experience commissioning and conducting performance testing of complex systems Experience in managing and leading projects including design/specification, bidding, and field coordination
