What To Expect
Tesla is seeking a highly motivated Engineering Technician to assist with power supply assembly line and support the Mechanical and Electrical design teams’ general work stream, focusing on specialty components assembly and electronics handling and repairs. The candidate should be familiar with following manufacturing SOP documentation. The candidate will be a key member of a cross-functional product development team.
What You'll Do
Collaborate in the assembly of individual power supply units, in line with other technicians in the power supply assembly line, and log finished goods and keep consumable inventory up to date Perform the assembly / repair of newly designed mechanical and electrical equipment, including circuit boards and participate in first unit testing in collaboration with the equipment engineer Perform End of Line testing using established testing procedures and equipment Execute validation testing designed by engineers and summarize observation in test write-up Work around and on high voltage (up to 480V AC) equipment Support procurement activities including sourcing components, creating purchase requests, tracking orders, and coordinating with suppliers Provide feedback on existing SOPs and assist the process and equipment engineering teams to write new SOPs
What You'll Bring
Degree in Physics, Engineering or equivalent experience 2 years of experience in Engineering development or power supply manufacturing Careful attention to detail and ability to clearly communicate results and challenges to engineering team Proficient at soldering, use of hand tools, basic electrical debug with multimeter, entry level fabrication Computer skills (MS Office, Jira, navigate 3D models in eDrawings, running tests [mostly automatic]) Great communication skills and teamwork with a strong ownership mindset

$23.18 - $53.58/hour cash and stock awards benefits
