TheChassis Systems Software team is looking for an engineer toown the validation of embedded software for braking and suspension actuators. You will bring up the tests and infrastructure necessary to validate safety-critical embedded software. You will conceptualize, design, and build validation tools that allow for rapid algorithm development, test against real world data, perform regression testing, and simulate physics-based models. You will work with software, integration, and safety engineers to generate a suite of tests necessary to qualify the software and software-hardware interaction behaviors. You will be challenged to innovate test strategies that support releasing regulated safety-critical software to millions of vehicles at scale and high cadence. You will play a vital role in shaping the industry as we continue towards high-velocity automotive software development life cycles.

What You'll Do
Create and develop automated Softwarein the Loop (SIL) and Hardware in the loop (HIL) validation infrastructure to enable reliable, efficient, thorough, accurate, and repeatable tests
Develop and executeautomated regression test suitesforsafety-critical chassis controls firmware
Continuously analyze and improve regression test suitecoverage
Own the validation release process for customer releases, including test strategy scoping, test execution, and sign off
Create and executeboard leveltest plans to expose weaknessesor faults
Understand the fundamental operations of the actuator hardware and software to inform validation strategy
What You'll Bring
Degreein Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
Excellent proficiency in Python or C
Experience with Rust is a plus
Scripting skills in other common languages is a plus (Perl, Shell, Bash)
Knowledge of version control (Git) and continuous integration
Excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills to coordinate with the team
Knowledge and experience with automation and build tools is a plus (Jenkins, Docker,SCons, Buck)
Previous experience in the auto or aviation industries, or experience validating highly complex andsafety-critical embedded system is a plus
Ability to read and review electronic circuitschematicis a plus
