Tesla is seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to support the design and construction of a variety of new and renovations to existing industrial, manufacturing, office, and data center facilities on our high-tech campus in Austin, TX.
What You'll Do
- Provide comprehensive support for the design and construction of a diverse range of new builds and renovations to existing industrial, manufacturing, office, and data center facilities
- Coordinate structural design on multidiscipline project teams including Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Piping/Plumbing, manufacturing, and IT professionals
- Conduct structural analysis and design of concrete and steel structures, along with the creation of justifying structural calculations
- Make technical assumptions, think independently to complete assigned work, and draw conclusions based on engineering judgement
- Working knowledge of US building codes, structural design standards. Familiarity with steel and concrete construction a plus
What You'll Bring
- Degree in Civil/ Structural Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 1 - 4 years of experience in structural design of commercial, industrial, data center, or manufacturing industries
- Passed NCEES Engineer-In-Training (EIT) exam or licensed professional engineer (PE or SE) in good standing
- Experience with analytical software (RISA, RAM, or ETABS) and Revit Structural. Familiarity with Revizto or Navisworks a plus
- Detail-oriented and technical yet experienced enough to see the big picture. Able to multi-task and be flexible/adapt to rapidly changing project requirements/timelines
- Self-directed, highly motivated self-starter with ability to work independently with minimal oversight
