What You'll Do
- Architectand develop robust software solutions for the service equipment and automated systems supporting the Tesla Robotaxi and Optimus robot programs
- Developand deploy software for diagnostic and service equipment supporting all vehicle platforms for our global service centers
- Collaboratewith cross-functional design and manufacturing teams to define software requirements for new and existing products
- Drivethe evolution of the team's capabilities by pioneering more advanced, intelligent, and integrated tooling systems
- Validateyour designs through hands-on prototyping and testing in close collaboration with expert engineering and service technicians
- Createand maintain comprehensive design documentation, including well-commented code, system diagrams, and operational specifications
What You'll Bring
- A versatile, multi-talented engineer with a proven ability to work across different engineering disciplines (software, mechanical, electrical) to create cohesive solutions
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience
- 5 years of professional experience in software development, automation, or a related field
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or C
- Strong knowledge of software development fundamentals, including design patterns, algorithms, and testing methodologies
- Experience with automation technologies and robotics; familiarity with machine learning concepts is a plus
- Demonstrated excellence in problem-solving from first principles.Solid understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes to effectively integrate software with physical hardware and automation equipment

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
