The Self-Driving SOC team is looking for a SOC RTL Designer to work in Austin, TX. The SOC RTL designers is expected to own and deliver IP blocks into the SOC. These SOC are used in Tesla cars, robots and in data center projects. This is a small team where each member can have a big impact.
What You'll Do
- Deliver functional IP blocks into the SOC
- Work with SOC architects and software to understand all requirements and new features
- Evaluate and understand existing internal and external IP functions
- Analyze and optimize timing, performance, power and area
- Analyze and resolve clock, and reset issues
- Deliver RTL for new or existing blocks
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- 2 years of experience in SOC or RTL design
- Knowledge and understanding of SOC architecture and interconnect(AXI/CHI)
- Understanding of clock domain crossing, reset, and testability issues
- Ability to debug functional and performance issues to root cause
- Strong understanding of Verilog, and scripting languages
- Strongly motivated to pursue and solve tough engineering challenges in a dynamic environment
- Understanding of low power design
- Experience with SMMU or PCIE is a plus
