Tesla is looking for an individual experienced with quality programs and technical quality processes to contribute to the team managing the quality program at the Cell Manufacturing facility. As a Quality Technician, you will be responsible for performing the daily operation of and providing support to users of the quality program. In this role, you will work within the Quality Operations organization.
Shift: 5:30PM-5:45AM
Option 1: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and every other Wednesday
Option 2: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Wednesday
What You'll Do
- Operate in the 'inspect, diagnose and repair' mindset
- Work closely with manufacturing, process, and quality teams to establish processes and procedures that will ensure consistently high quality
- Comprehend current production quality trends based on dashboards or from occurrences in the line
- Execute timely corrective action for quality mitigation and containment
- Collaborate with engineering teams to support investigation, containment and execution for strategic quality issues
- Monitor quality, determine the root cause of problems and implement corrective actions and countermeasures
- Analyze and disposition component and product defects as a member of the Material Review Board
What You'll Bring
- Experienced in QS-9000, ISO/TS 16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, DFMEA, PFMEA preferred
- Experience with extensive problem-solving and root cause analysis
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams
- Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal
Essential Physical Demands:
- Abilityto wear PPE, which may include a full-face respirator and coveralls as needed due to working with hazardous chemicals
- Ability to lift and sort parts of up to 30 lbs. as needed
