The Tesla Circuit Board Layout team designs PCBs for all Tesla products: Robotaxi Autonomous Vehicles, Energy Storage, Optimus Humanoid Robots, and more.
What You'll Do
- Design high volume circuit boards for all Tesla products by collaborating with electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, in-circuit test (ICT), and supplier industrialization engineers
- Rapidly iterate as design requirements and product features mature over time
What You'll Bring
- Circuit board design in Altium (or equivalent) for high-volume production
- Design optimization for cost, manufacturability (IPC standards), electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), heat dissipation, and high voltage (1500V)
- Layout of analog & digital circuits (MOSFETs, op-amps, switching regulators, gate drivers, microcontrollers, communication buses, etc)
- Exceptional organization and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Familiarity with the following; PCB materials, cost-drivers, manufacturing process (DFM), and stackups, Creating schematic symbols and footprints in Altium Vault (component librarian), High-density technologies: Fine-pitch packages, BGAs, and via technology (vippo, micro, blind, buried), High-speed digital communication layout (up to 10GHz) and Radio Frequency (RF) layout, Rigid-flex and flexible PCBs, Altium tools: CoDesigner, Server, 3D tools, constraint manager, net classes, variants, and rooms, Automotive design requirements, Cadence Allegro, and Product Lifecycle Management tools (such as Enovia) and ticketing tools (such as JIRA)

Expected Compensation
$118,320 - $225,840/annual salary cash and stock awards benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
