The Manufacturing Training Instructor facilitates training, motivates learners, and owns administrative tasks for newly hired employees. Ideal candidates bring industrial or manufacturing experience, broad technical knowledge, and a genuine passion for teaching, mentoring, and building a world-class training program. As a modelled Tesla associate, the instructor exhibits integrity, positive energy, and professionalism; speaks well in public; and fosters a welcoming trainee experience. They serve as a resource for employees, learn production processes, partner with supporting shops, and follow all PPE expectations and procedures. The role may require extensive walking, schedule flexibility, and adaptability for cross-training or new processes.
Day Shift:
Monday - Thursday 6:30 AM-5:00 PM
What You'll Do
- Facilitate classroom, hands-on, and floor-based training on company policies, procedures, and basic manufacturing tools and systems
- Deliverapproved content clearly and consistently, creating an inclusive, engaging learning environment
- Support new hires through orientation and early learning, guiding them on policies, resources, and compliance requirements
- Manage training logistics and administration, including schedules, rosters, materials, rooms, and assessments
- Partnerwith leaders and cross-functional teams to align training with business and operational needs
- Stay current on process updates, safety standards, and training best practices; adapt content and methods as needed
- Track training completion and effectiveness through audits, feedback, and performance metrics; report progress and gaps to stakeholders
What You'll Bring
- 3 years of manufacturing or production experience; prior training, teaching, coaching, or facilitation experience preferred
- Proven ability to facilitate engaging classroom, hands-on, and group learning sessions with energy and professionalism
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse audiences and foster an inclusive learning environment
- Working knowledge of production processes, safety standards, and continuous improvement practices
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail; proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Flexible and adaptable; able to adjust facilitation style based on audience needs and changing priorities
- Able to stand/walk for extended periods, climb stairs,lift upto 50lbs, wear required PPE, and work in a manufacturing environment
