Tesla is looking for a Yard Management Lead to work with some of the most progressive vehicles in the world. We are seeking qualified team leaders to help engage and direct our Yard Management Associates. All candidates will need to be safety and quality driven with excellent communication skills. You will be responsible for leading and motivating team members on a daily basis. As a team leader, you should be able to act proactively to ensure smooth operations and effective collaboration. Ultimately, you will lead by setting a positive example and help engage the team to achieve goals. The Yard Management Lead is a key contributor in the Tesla experience.
What You'll Do
- Help coordinate day-to-day operation of vehicle deliveries
- Monitor team performance and report on metrics
- Motivate, train and mentor team members
- Be aware of feedback and elevate any issues or conflicts
- Recognize high performance
- Park vehicles in designated numbered parking spaces
- Check-in, charge and inspect vehicles for shipping
What You'll Bring
- Management experience and/or proven leadership ability
- Ability to use various computer programs for vehicle processing (Excel, Warp, other Office programs)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and people skills
- Ability to perform repetitious duties while standing for long periods of time
- A commitment to adhering to prescribed safety rules and guidelines
- Ability to maintain a safe working environment
- Possible weekend work and overtime required
