The Failure Analysis Team's mission is todetermineroot cause and contributing factors to improve the experience of Tesla's products by reducing field issues, in collaboration with large crosssectionsof other engineering teams. Engineers and Technicians on the teamare responsible fora wide variety of vehicle and energy product systems for existing models and models in development. This extremely high visibility individual contributor role requires extensive hands-on work who will take initiative.
What You'll Do
- Design and build automated test equipment such as test PCBAs, harnesses and fixtures to make functional testing more efficient and repeatable
- Integrate existingcompanywidetest infrastructure to new products and parts
- Perform data analysis on test results and present findings to requesting engineers
- Oversee daytoday operation of technicians performing high volumetest
What You'll Bring
- Degree inElectrical or Computer Engineering or equivalentrelevant experience
- Experience withobject-oriented coding language and scripting (C , Python, MATLAB, etc.)
- Handson experience with electrical test equipment (e.g., multimeters, DAQs, oscilloscopes, power supplies, curvetracerand function generators), instrumentation,multiplexersand measurement techniques
- Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems
- Experience designing tools and fixtures with 3D CAD (CATIA, Fusion,Solidworks,etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as datasheets, schematics,drawingsand specifications
- Experience with common digital communication protocols (I2C, CAN,etc.)
- Experience with electromechanical systems
- Experience with high voltage power electronics

Expected Compensation
$91,600 - $195,600/annual salary cash and stock awards benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
