What You'll Do
- Champion and observe all safety policies
- Support of grading, minor pothole repairs, winter weather response, dust control, road sweeping, and general site clean up
- Recommend improvement projects for gravel areas, winter weather, dust control and road sweeping
- Complete training in the use of heavy equipment and site maintenance
- Complete preventative site maintenance of equipment
- Able to respond to factory off hours during inclement weather or any other deemed emergency
- Work directly with Facilities Ground Lead to understand scope and execution of work detail
What You'll Bring
- Experience in groundskeeping, heavy equipment operation, vehicle maintenance, and familiarity with schematics and site plans
- Demonstrated reliability, initiative, and ability to adapt to varying work schedules and fast-paced environments
- Effective communication skills, attention to detail, and flexibility, while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information
- Multitasking ability, adaptability to change, and wearing required PPE for tasks involving hazardous areas and chemicals
- Physical capability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods, lift up 20 lbs., and work in loud environments; discern audible alarms
- Possession of a valid state driver's license, with expertise in operating various heavy, medium, and light equipment and street-related specialized equipment, including training others
- Availability for on-call after-hours work, displaying knowledge of general maintenance, construction, tools, and equipment
