As an Engineering Technician you will be playing a critical role in the ongoing efforts at Tesla's first lithium refinery plant in Robstown, TX. You will be involved in the full life cycle of a project from design to commissioning. This role will require collaboration across functional groups and requires independent thought and judgment to manage project data in accordance with established standards and procedures.
What You'll Do
- Preparation of all project documents; reviewing information to ensure completeness
- Provide administrative and technical support to verify accuracy of data of engineering deliverables
- Assemble, define, and distribute complete, accurate construction work packages
- Complete and track value engineering efforts
- Collaborate to develop project-specific procedures aligned with the contract and scope of work
- Developing and monitoring all project-related data for the team
What You'll Bring
- Two-year degree from a college or technical school and five to ten years of Engineering Tech or document control experience in an industrial and/or manufacturing facility
- Ability to read and interpret Industrial & Manufacturing construction drawings and technical specifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft products and Bluebeam. AutoCAD experience is a plus
- Proficiency with document control management and construction work packages
- Proven ability to identify discrepancies (Deliverables, data sheets, specification revisions)
- Previous experience on $200M projects, preferably with experience on both "owner" and "contractor" side
