As a Commercial Electrician with the Tesla Energy Commercial Deployment team, you will work as part of a team to complete all scopes of the job from start to finish. You will work under the direction and supervision of a Licensed Electrician on commercial Supercharger stations and Megapack energy storage projects.A strong candidate will be comfortable performing a variety of electrical and civil tasks, including power distribution, lighting, low voltage systems, and site electrical work. 2 years of experience preferred. While expertise in all areas is not required, versatility and a willingness to learn are important.This role focuses on the civil and electrical scopes required for Supercharger sites and Megapack installations. You will support the installation of power distribution, grounding, lighting, and electrical infrastructure associated with these projects.
What You'll Do
- Power distribution systems (480 VAC up to 1000 VDC)
- Transformers and switchgear
- Site lighting and grounding
- Utility scopes involving PVC conduit, trenching, pulling wire with tugger, and large terminations
- This role is 80% travel
What You'll Bring
- Install and terminate power distribution systems, transformers, and switchgear
- Perform utility and civil electrical work including PVC conduit installation, trenching, and wire pulling with tugger
- Execute large-scale terminations and grounding systems
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and diagrams to support site installations from start to finish
