Tesla is seeking a talented Civil Engineer to join the Texas team and contribute to a variety of Land Development, Site Design, Roadway/Transportation, and many more projects on our 2,500 acre site.
What You'll Do
- Promote and protect Tesla's reputation as a cutting-edge company producing the world's most exciting cars and shifting the paradigm of personal transportation worldwide
- Manage multiple projects throughout planning, design, bid, and construction phases
- Define and plan project work scope, schedules, budget, and resource requirements
- Independently develop high quality civil engineering products including construction document drawings, specifications, narratives, and calculations
- Effectively and proactively communicate project needs, changes, and status to internal and external team members
- Review drawings and proposals by vendors, engineers, and architects, and drive multi-disciplinary coordination
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- 3 - 5 years of hands on experience building high-tech/industrial infrastructure and operational facilities (semiconductor, solar, battery, etc.)
- Experience in civil engineering design, stormwater management plans, stormwater pollution prevention plans (SWPPP), heavy civil, wastewater, and manufacturing
- Operational construction Site development background with experience in design of roadway, grading, pavement, sewer, storm drainage, water, erosion and sediment control, and traffic plans
- Proficient in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D for civil design Ability to multi-task and adapt to rapidly changing project requirements and timelines
- Ability to communicate clearly and interface at an executive level within a diverse team.Ability to uphold the use of standards and escalate issues in a timely fashion
- Desire to do the impossible with a positive and professional attitude. Demonstrates an "outside the box" problem solving approach; develop alternative and innovative design solutions
