This positionis responsible forperforming quality control sampling, equipmentdecontaminationand loading/unloading finished goods and raw materials. Other tasks will be assigned based on business needs. Chemical Plant Manufacturing Technicians work on a rotating shift team, focusing on field unit operations to support safely running the Cathode Manufacturing Facility. Candidates must have a strong work ethic, besafetyconscious, display attention to detail, be adaptable, havegood communicationskillsand be able to work in a team-based environment. The successful candidate will safely and efficiently complete tasks necessary as a Chemical Plant Manufacturing Technician.
What You'll Do
- Perform quality control sampling, equipment decontamination and loading/unloading of finished goods and raw materials
- Execute field unit operations to support safe and efficient operation of the Cathode Manufacturing Facility
- Work collaboratively on a rotating shift team to meet production goals
- Adhere to safety protocols,maintaininga strong focus on workplace safety
- Demonstrate attention to detail and adaptability in all tasks to ensure high-quality output
- Communicate effectively and contribute to a team-based environment
- Performadditionaltasks as assigned based on business needs
What You'll Bring
- Pass pulmonary function tests and physical exam for respirator use
- Ability to handle tasks from initiation to completion
- Successfully complete trainingsrequiredto perform the full function of the job
- Proven ability to follow procedures
- Ability to adapt to changing demands and to react positively to verbal instructions
- Ability to work overtime and weekends whenrequired
- Proficient with computers and communicate effectively and must have command of the English language, both written and verbal
Essential Physical Demands
- Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours a day
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours a day
- Frequently and repetitively, lift, push and carry up to 35lbs., including the ability to carry 20 lbs. up and down stairs
- Frequently and repetitively, bend, lift and reach
- Stoop, lay, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch,twistand crawl for extended periods of time, including up to 12 hours a day
- Climb andmaintainbalance on ladders, scaffolding or other high structures
- Ability to find issues in a work process and receive safety signals using sight, touch, or hearing
- Wearing Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to: PAPR, safety glasses, safety shoes, bump caps, and adhering to prescribed safety rules and guidelines
