Tesla is looking for a laboratory technician to assist in routine quality testing, material and chemical sample preparation, and failure analysis processes for vehicle manufacturing. The environment utilizes multiple testing techniques from spectroscopy to mechanical testing.
What You'll Do
- Chemical testing of raw materials and finished products such as elemental analysis by ICP-OES, anions/cations by IC, volatile organic compounds by GC/MS, TOC, specific gravity, pH, titrations, and various other tests as needed
- Overall care of chemical analytical equipment; including daily maintenance, initial troubleshooting, working with service engineers, maintaining databases, logs, and lab supplies
- Sample preparation by dilution and filtration
- Water analysis
- Data analysis, report generation, and CoA creation
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or other related science or equivalent experience
- 1 years practical experience with analytical chemical analysis (GC/MS, ICP-OES, IC, titration, pH)
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and use of internal quality systems
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal
