What are the responsibilities and job description for the Procurement Specialist position at Tesla Electric LLC?
Job Responsibilities:
Purchasing & Expediting.
1. Receive requisitions, request quotes, purchase and fulfill orders using a variety of resources.
2. Track materials via electronic documents and paper.
3. Frequently communicate with vendors, Foremen, PM Assistant and PM.
4. Operating vans, pickup trucks, flatbed trucks, enclosed/flatbed trailers and forklifts to transport and move materials.
5. Other tasks as assigned.
Organization & Maintenance
1. Checking in and out tools using an EXCEL spreadsheet.
2. Maintaining tools, equipment and vehicles.
3. Keeping shop and yard clean, clear and organized. Delegating tasks to apprentices when available and needed.
4. Other tasks as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
1. Firm knowledge of procurement and ordering processes.
2. Intermediate to advances experience in electrical and general construction materials.
3. Strong ability to understand and execute spoken, written and demonstrated instructions.
4. Ability to identify hazardous materials so they can be processed accordingly.
5. Ability to handle high pressure situations and keep calm, professional and focused.
6. Excellent attention to detail, organization, record keeping, tracking and multi-tasking.
7. Ability to work independently and always be productive while knowing when and how to ask questions to complete tasks as assigned.
8. Communicate clearly with spoken and legibly written/typed correspondence.
9. Strong computer skills utilizing the internet, Adobe PDF, Excel, Word, Outlook, Gmail.
10. Ability to work and adapt to quickly changing scenarios and needs while maintaining concentration, safety, accuracy, and efficiency in your tasks.
11. Complete tasks in a safe and timely manner, keeping in mind risks to people, company/public/private property and self.
12. Excellent ability to drive and maneuver vans, pickup trucks, flatbed trucks, enclosed and flatbed trailers, forklifts, scissor lifts even in poor weather/lighting.
13. Ability to take responsibility for outcomes, positively accept constructive criticism and ability to learn from it.
14. Ability to read and comprehend and navigate job specifications, drawings and details.
15. Ability to conduct yourself if a professional and respectful manner at all times as you represent the company.
