Lead Robotic Welding Programmer
Full-Time | 1st Shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM)
We are a growing manufacturing company investing heavily in automation, efficiency, and modern welding processes. We are looking for a Lead Robotic Welding Programmer to own the programming, set up, and continuous improvement of our robotic welding operations.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on—programming, troubleshooting, assisting operators, and running smaller jobs—while serving as the technical authority for our robotic welding systems.
What You’ll Do
- Program, set up, and optimize robotic welding cells
- Own robotic weld quality, repeatability, and cycle-time improvement
- Run smaller robotic welding jobs as needed
- Assist and support operators during production runs
- Troubleshoot robot programs, fixtures, and weld issues
- Collaborate with welding, fabrication, and management on new jobs and process improvements
- Support production by adjusting programs as materials, parts, or processes change
- Assist with fixture validation and part fit-up related to robotic welding
- Train and support operators on proper robotic welding procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area around robotic cells
Robotic Equipment
- Operate and support five FANUC robotic welding systems
- Robots range in size and capacity to support both small and large production work
What We’re Looking For
- 3–5 years of robotic welding or automation experience preferred
- Experience programming robotic welding systems (FANUC experience is a plus, but not required)
- Strong understanding of MIG welding processes
- Ability to read blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings
- Comfortable working hands-on in a production environment
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated and able to prioritize between programming, support, and production needs
- Prior lead, senior, or primary robot programmer experience is a plus
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for the duration of the shift
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and around automated equipment
Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- 8-hour shifts
