The Logistics Assistant is responsible for performing all functions of the Logistics and/or Samples office. Along with these responsibilities, they are responsible for performing all warehouse functions, including but not limited to receiving, moving and storing of material and shipment of products to our customers. They are also responsible for consistently complying with all safety, environmental and quality standards. Additionally, in the absence of the Logistics Coordinator, they must be able to assist with covering and coordinating their responsibilities.
How you'll help the formula:
Logistics Office
- May be responsible for communicating with Customer Care
- Maintain SAP and Microsoft Teams
- Appropriate paperwork for C of A's
- Assist in shipping InterSite orders to El Paso and Laredo
- Assist in Receiving and filing
- Assisting in releasing orders, routing orders, invoicing and picking back orders
- Shipping Export orders to our affiliates
Samples Office
- Maintain SAP, Microsoft Teams, Marketplace and CRM
- International paperwork (including Mexico)
- Appropriate paperwork for C of A's
- Receiving, filing and daily spreadsheets
- Assisting in releasing orders, routing orders, invoicing and picking back orders
- Purchasing of material from affiliates
- May be responsible for communicating with Sales Team
- Load and unload product/material in a safe and efficient manner
- Check and count incoming/outgoing products and deliver to appropriate location
- Includes picking orders; staging; and properly palletizing of product
- Move product to appropriate storage area; replenish picking zones; and other miscellaneous movement of product
- Earn and maintain a stand-up and sit-down powered forklift license
- Operate all equipment safely and efficiently
- Participate in cycle counts and physical inventory
- Work in a team concept; self-motivated; able and willing to be cross-functional
- Perform other miscellaneous duties
Key elements for your role:
- High school graduate or equivalent, with basic math skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; SAP preferred
- Speak and read English proficiently
- Counting, calculator use and legible writing
- Must be able to think/convert to metric measurements with training
- Ability to follow directions and function as a team member with a positive attitude
- Must be able to operate a powered forklift with training to retrieve product from shelves up to 16 feet high
- Lifting up to 50#, standing and walking up to 95% of scheduled shift
- Correctable vision and hearing
- Must be able to work within the framework of 6S, ISO and IATF requirements
- Hours: any as required, including overtime, in either facility
