Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and personable Technical Sales Manager with a strong engineering foundation and proven success selling control systems integration and automation solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on familiarity with Allen-Bradley (Rockwell Automation) and Siemens control products and a background working for or with a distributor, OEM, or systems integrator. This is a customer-facing, on-site role based in Lawrenceville, GA, responsible for driving business growth throughout the Southeast region. The position combines technical expertise, solution-based sales, and relationship management to deliver value-driven automation solutions to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage strong customer relationships throughout the Southeast region.
- Identify and pursue new opportunities in control systems integration, automation, and industrial control solutions.
- Leverage existing customer contacts and prior sales experience in the Southeast market.
- Collaborate with engineering and project teams to design and propose tailored control system solutions.
- Present automation solutions that clearly communicate technical and commercial benefits to customers.
- Stay informed on current technologies, products, and trends related to Siemens and Allen-Bradley control systems.
- Prepare and deliver proposals, reports, and forecasts using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Maintain a professional and customer-focused presence, representing the company with integrity and technical competence.
Qualifications & Skills
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- 5–10 years of experience in engineering, technical sales, or solution selling within control systems integration or industrial automation.
- Hands-on familiarity with Allen-Bradley (Rockwell Automation) and Siemens control products (PLCs, HMIs, drives, and related components).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills—both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Must work on-site in Lawrenceville, GA and live within a 40-minute commute, or be willing to relocate nearby.
Desired:
- Experience working for or closely with a distributor, OEM, or systems integrator serving industrial automation markets.
- Proven success selling complex engineered solutions with long sales cycles.
