SUMMARY:
The Machine Sorter is responsible for inspecting and separating pallets into different grades and placing them in the appropriate area ready to be picked up by the forklift in a manner that meets Terzo Enterprises standards for safety, security, and productivity, in addition to adhering to the quality criteria.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Comply with all safety procedures at all times while performing job duties using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Must be able to operate automated sortation equipment effectively and safely.
- Inspect pallets at a rate that meets company and safety standards safely and securely.
- Machine Sorter manually guides 70 lbs. pallets from an automated indexer onto a conveyor system. Visually inspects pallets and determines the level of repair needed.
- Ensure that proper inspection and separation of pallets are met, while achieving company expectations.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Must be able to follow the inspecting process.
- Must be able to work at a steady, fast pace.
- Basic Math Skills required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to lift and move 70-80 pounds repetitively
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time (at least 2 hours straight, four times in an 8-hour day).
- Able to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level, and crouch frequently.
- Able to use hands and feet simultaneously and perform repetitive movements.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
