Organizational Development Specialist - SAP S/4HANA
JOB SUMMARY
The Organizational Development Specialist – SAP S/4HANA is a Human Resources role responsible for the day‑to‑day execution of organizational development and change management activities supporting Terumo BCT’s SAP S/4HANA transformation and related enterprise initiatives. This role focuses on operationalizing established change management approaches by coordinating stakeholder analysis, engagement and change network activities, communications, training enablement, and readiness tracking.
The role partners closely with the Organizational Development Lead (S/4HANA), HR Centers of Excellence, regional HR partners, PMO, IT, and Learning & Development to ensure consistent, high‑quality execution of change activities that support business readiness, adoption, and sustainment across regions and functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Organizational Change & Readiness Execution
- Execute defined organizational development and change management plans in support of SAP S/4HANA releases and milestones, aligned to enterprise OD and HR standards.
- Maintain and update stakeholder maps, change impact assessments, and readiness inputs across regions, functions, and roles.
- Coordinate the collection of qualitative and quantitative feedback (surveys, focus groups, pulse checks) and summarize observations, trends, and risks for OD/Change, HR, and program leadership.
- Utilize approved change metrics tools and dashboards to input, validate, and maintain data accuracy and prepare simple, leadership‑ready views that surface readiness insights.
Engagement & Change Network Coordination
- Coordinate engagement and change network activities defined by Organizational Development & Change leadership.
- Schedule and support change network meetings, roadshows, town halls, and engagement forums, including agendas, materials, invitations, notes, and follow‑up actions.
- Track participation and engagement trends and surface risks, gaps, and themes to OD/Change and program stakeholders.
- Capture questions, concerns, and feedback from engagement activities and support two‑way communication back to the business.
Change Communications Enablement
- Draft andadapt change‑related communications using established templates, key messages, and branding standards (emails, intranet content, FAQs, “what’s changing for me” materials).
- Coordinate with Internal Communications, HR, and PMO to align messaging, audiences, timing, and channels.
- Maintain and govern the SAP S/4HANA OCM and communications content repository, ensuring materials are current, accessible, and version‑controlled.
Training & Enablement Support
- Partner with Global Learning to support training needs analysis, audience mapping, and enablement planning.
- Coordinate training logistics, including scheduling, communications, tracking, and completion monitoring across regions and roles.
- Support the creation and maintenance of job aids, quick reference guides, and reinforcement materials aligned to learning standards.
- Support the operation of training governance processes defined by OD/Change and L&D leadership, including content updates and escalation of gaps or obsolescence risks.
Program Governance & Operational Support
- Maintain OCM workplans, trackers, and RAID logs aligned to program governance expectations.
- Prepare materials for program‑level meetings (steering committees, HR and business updates), including slides, summaries, and status updates.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of Organizational Development & Change tools, templates, and processes based on lessons learned and feedback.
Collaboration & Enterprise Alignment
- Serve as a coordination point across Organizational Development & Change, HR, PMO, Learning & Development, and business stakeholders.
- Build effective working relationships in a global, cross‑cultural environment.
- Provide execution support on adjacent OD/Change initiatives as needed, particularly where alignment with SAP S/4HANA or enterprise change priorities is required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or, equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered. Degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Business administration, Communications, Psychology or related field.
- Formal change management training or certification (Prosci) preferred.
- Minimum 3 years experience in organizational development, change management, HR, learning & development, or program coordination.
- Experience supporting cross‑functional or enterprise initiatives, such as system or process transformations.
- Experience working in a global or matrixed organization preferred.
- Organizational and coordination skills with attention to detail and follow‑through.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with metrics, dashboards, and reports to support insight‑driven decisions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams, SharePoint).
- Learning agility, initiative, and problem‑solving mindset.
An equivalent competency level acquired through a variation of these qualifications may be considered.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Typical Office Environment requirements include: reading, speaking, hearing, close vision, traverse, bending, sitting, and occasional lifting up to 20 pounds.
