What are the responsibilities and job description for the Counter Sales (Welding and Industrial Supplies) position at Terry Supply Company?
Family owned welding supply business of over 75 years looking for someone to fill inside sales position. We serve several different industries from fabrication and manufacturing to research, health care, and the food and beverage industry. We offer competitive pay and benefits.
Act as a sales associate for a retail store by selling products to businesses and industrial customers.
Competitive Pay
*Having or willing to obtain a CDL Class B with Hazmat Endorsement a large plus*
Responsibilities:
-Sell industrial, medical, welding supplies, and related equipment to customers
-Sales with existing and potential customers, and handle all associated paperwork to document those sales, quotes, or other information which may be needed
-Answer customers questions
-Arrange for delivery of cylinders and hard goods
-Operate forklift as required
-Maintain showroom displays
-Assist customers with merchandise and with unloading and loading cylinders
-Establish and maintain good customer relationships
-Communicate in person and on the telephone with customers on cost, ordering, and delivery schedule
-Insure all required paperwork is accurately completed
-Maintain neat, clean, and professional experience
-Insure all safety rules are observed
-Assist with inventory, housekeeping and showroom displays
Qualifications:
-High school diploma or equivalent
-Customer service or sales experience
-Industry and related product knowledge
