POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Dishwasher, you play a vital role in ensuring smooth back-of-house operations by maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment. You will be responsible for supporting the culinary team by washing and sanitizing dishware, utensils, and kitchen equipment, while also assisting with prep work and cleanliness tasks throughout the kitchen. This position requires strong attention to detail, adherence to sanitation standards, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform dishwashing responsibilities, including cleaning and sanitizing dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
- Complete prep work as assigned by kitchen staff.
- Assemble, maintain, and break down the dishwashing machine in accordance with operational standards.
- Transport garbage and trash to designated dumpster areas and ensure proper disposal procedures.
- Clean and sanitize work areas, refrigerators, cooking equipment, walls, and floors to maintain health and safety compliance.
- Follow all company policies, operational procedures, and Health Department regulations.
- Assist team members when needed to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Perform any additional responsibilities assigned within the scope of the role.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have the ability to lift at least 45 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.
- Working knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation procedures.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and professional demeanor.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
