What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Care Coordinator / Optometric Tech position at Terrezza Optical - Fairhope?
We are looking for an optometric front desk and optometric tech for our Fairhope, AL location.
Duties would include answering multi phone lines, scheduling patients, checking in patient, scanning, faxing, verifying patient insurance eligibility - both vision and medical benefits, ability to explain benefits to patients, checking patient out, collecting payment for copays or past due balances, bank deposit, keeping patient waiting room area neat and tidy, performs a variety of tasks to assist the optometrist in routine and medical eye examinations. They record patient medical histories and help prepare the patient for the vision examination. They also assist with tests that help ensure the accurate diagnosis and treatment of a diseased eye such as taking optomap photos, tonometry, visual field, and optical coherence tomography. Assisting first time contact lens wearer by teaching the patient how to insert and remove lenses.
Need good computer skills for use with electronic medical records such as RevolutionEHR. Looking for a reliable candidate with good time management, efficient, and has the ability to multi task while providing great patient care. Experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Full-Time. We are open Monday-Friday 8-5, Travel maybe necessary to our other locations. Please forward resume.
