- Draw Station: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Phlebotomist Positions:
- Draw Station: 7:00 AM – 1:30 PM
- Processing Area: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM
- Processing Area & Floor Draws: 1:30 PM – 9:00 PM
- Processing Area & Floor Draws: 9:00 PM – 5:30 AM
- Requirements:
- Authorization to work in the U.S. permanently, without sponsorship.
- National or state-recognized phlebotomy certification (e.g., CPT ASCP, NHA, AMT)
- Previous experience with the VA is a plus.
- Previous experience as a phlebotomist is a plus.

What does a typical day look like for the Phlebotomist?
You Will
- Monday through Friday. All Shifts.
- Provide a full range of phlebotomy procedures, on-site, using Government-furnished facilities, equipment, and supplies.
- Process patients before specimen collection, including review of paperwork accompanying patients and cordial guidance and assistance.
- Collect blood samples using the Vacutainer blood collection system or a syringe with a needle/butterfly when necessary.
- Perform proper veni-puncture, finger stick procedures, and other tests identified by CLIA 88 regulations as being waived, using appropriate techniques.
- Perform set-up and completion of special test-related phlebotomy procedures utilizing appropriate techniques.
- Adhere to laboratory safety protocols.
- Perform phlebotomy-related administrative and clerical procedures of the Front Desk Section of the Lab.
- Fully document all samples obtained per the laboratory's standard operating procedures.
- Interacting with other employees and lab management to provide efficient specimen processing service to patients. perform centrifugation procedures as instructed by lab management.
- Collect and process urine samples for both and/or timed collections for testing. Correctly
- Deliver collected blood and urine samples to the appropriate departments at determined times.
