(CAFM) CAD Drafter (IBM TRIRIGA experience)

Terrestris, LLC, is seeking a Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) CAD Drafter to support the architect of the capitol, The Library of Congress. This work is 100% remote. The Library requires ongoing space data support to provide accurate updated data to the Library’s Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) module of FAME. The CAD Drafter shall provide ongoing CAFM data support services to the Library to include:

· Creating and Maintaining AutoCAD polyline drawings and Revit BIM models which adhere to BOMA standards of measurement

· Integration of CAD drawings and BIM into the CAFM database.

· Assisting in the drafting of CAFM related documents with the Space Planning Officer

CAD Drafter shall provide CAFM expertise and support for the following tasks:

· The CAD Drafter shall create and maintain LOC designated AutoCAD polyline drawings and Revit BIM models for each LOC facility while implementing Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) standards of measurement.

· Designated existing AutoCAD polyline drawings and Revit models (4 buildings) are to be updated with spaces for every office suite and seat (cubicle, office) and interior / common space (utility closets, storage, stairs, elevators, corridors, etc.) to include space data (Number, Service Unit, Directorate, Division, Sub Division, Space Type, Occupancy Type, Reservation Type). Once each building’s drawings are completed, the drawings will be integrated into FAME via the CAD Integrator and/or BIM Plug-in.

· New AutoCAD polyline drawings and Revit models (5-6 buildings) to be created to include the same requirements noted above.

· The LOC Space Planning Officer will determine which drawings and models are to be created or updated and will approve final drawings and models.

Polyline Drawings and Model Integration:

· CAD Drafter shall Integrate polyline drawings and models into the CAFM database utilizing IBM TRIRIGA’s CAD and BIM integrator plug-ins; ensuring data integrity by checking the CAFM data base when CAD and BIM files are integrated and updated.

a) When updating CAD files the contractor shall ensure Library layer, block and XREF standards are utilized Layer Standards: American Institute of Architects (AIA) CAD Layer Guidelines

b) Block Standards: AutoDesk’s best practices for creating and maintaining standard blocks for all aspects of architectural layouts

c) XREF Standards: AutoDesk’s best practices for creating, using and maintaining standard XREF files for each discipline (i.e. Architectural, Interior, etc.

Assisting in the drafting of CAFM related documents:

· The CAD Drafter shall assist the Space Planning Officer in the drafting and updating of CAFM related documents to include:

a) Interpreting survey drawings provided by the Space Planning Officer or other SPO designated Library staff to update drawings, models and the CAFM database

b) Updating space management data in the CAFM database, to include but not limited to

i. Space Types

ii. Room Numbering

iii. Organization and Staff data

iv. Preservation data

v. Occupancy data

Qualifications:

· Minimum of 5 years’ experience including work in the most recent version of Autodesk AutoCAD.

· Minimum of 5 years’ experience including work in the most recent version of Revit Architecture.

· Minimum of 2 years’ experience with IBM TRIRIGA CAD CAFM Subject Matter Expert

· Minimum of 2 years’ experience with IBM

· TRIRIGA AutoCAD and BIM Integrator plug-ins.

· Able to travel as needed to DC.

Pay: $20.29 - $24.44 per hour
