Terrestrial (formerly known as Vaxess) is developing a pipeline of next-generation vaccines and therapeutics on our novel micro-array patch platform. With only five minutes of wear-time on the skin, the self-applied patch enables up to two weeks of sustained delivery. The platform combines high temperature stability with simplified application to dramatically alter the way that drugs are delivered. The Role:
We are seeking a talented, collaborative, and highly motivated individual with a background in formulation and analytical development to join our core team of scientists and engineers. This is a unique opportunity to be part of an emerging startup bringing innovative technology to the global market.
Responsibilities:
● Support design and execution of studies to identify novel candidates for development on the MAP platform, build platform flexibility and utility to support pipeline product development.
● Support development of platform and product formulations enabling room-temperature distribution and storage of MAPs.
● Perform analytical characterization of formulations for dissolution profile, stability, and functional MAP performance. Develop or improve existing assays in support of product development goals.
● Document and analyze experimental results, effectively communicate research results through technical presentations and written reports.
● Collaborate closely with analytical, MAP manufacturing, and preclinical colleagues to generate proof of concept with new molecules, materials; support early collaborations with strategic partners.
Qualifications:
● BS or MS in one of the Life Sciences, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering with 0-2 years of related work experience.
● Hands-on experience with formulation development of protein/peptide drugs.
● Experience with biologic characterization techniques, including HPLC, SEC, DLS, ELISA, or other plate-based assays.
● Experience working with polymer drug delivery systems is a plus.
● Experience working in a GxP environment is a plus.
● Strong attention to detail, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
● Demonstrated abilities to learn new skills and fields, solve challenging technical problems, think
independently, and work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

Salary : $62,600 - $79,200
