Job Overview
We are seeking dependable, experienced Aluminum Storefront Shop Fabricators to join our team. This position is responsible for fabricating commercial aluminum storefront systems, entrance doors, frames, and related components according to approved shop drawings and field measurements.
Duties
- Read and follow shop drawings, cut lists, and fabrication instructions
- Accurately measure, cut, drill, punch, and assemble aluminum storefront materials
- Fabricate commercial entrance doors, frames, sidelites, and storefront systems
- Install door hardware and prepare materials for glazing
- Inspect completed work for correct dimensions, quality, and finish
- Package and organize fabricated materials for delivery to job sites
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Requirements
- Commercial aluminum storefront fabrication experience preferred
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately
- Ability to read shop drawings and understand dimensions
- Experience operating saws, drills, punches, and other fabrication equipment
- Familiarity with Kawneer, YKK, Oldcastle, or similar storefront systems is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Dependable attendance and ability to work well with a team
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds
- Willingness to work overtime when required by the workload
