What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Assistant - Urgent Care position at Terrebonne Veterinary Clinic?

We are looking to add another member to our veterinary clinic team!
This is a great opportunity for someone who is genuinely interested in learning all aspects of veterinary medicine and isn’t afraid to jump in wherever needed. Previous veterinary experience is a plus, but not required. We are willing to train the right person who brings a strong work ethic, reliability, a willingness to learn, and a genuine interest in animal care.
This is a varied position and no two days will look exactly the same. Duties will include:
- Lots of cleaning — kennels, laundry, sweeping, mopping, dishes, and general daily clinic maintenance
- Answering phones and helping with reception duties
- Animal handling and restraint
- Assisting veterinary staff as needed
- Eventually learning additional hands-on veterinary and medical skills as experience and training progress
Schedule:
Hours and shifts will vary from week to week depending on clinic workflow and staff vacation schedules. Applicants must have some flexibility. The position will include some weekends, holidays, and occasional split shifts.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
