Overview
The Hair Stylist is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service while providing professional hair care services in accordance with established spa protocols. This role requires a strong commitment to guest satisfaction, technical excellence, and ongoing education, as well as compliance with sanitation and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate high level of guest service with each guest interaction
- Perform salon treatment services as outlined in spa treatment protocols
- Participate in all salon treatment and service training programs
- Assist guests with at- home care program and products
- Communicate effectively with peers, management, line and front of the house employees
- Attend meetings (including): daily communication, service, weekly staff meeting, monthly department meetings
- Maintain all sanitation and HACCP documentation in accordance with California & DH&R health codes
- Practice effective listening: (seek to understand)
- Performs related duties as required
- Perform duties in a safe manner, routinely observing all safety procedures. Report accidents and injuries in a timely manner
- Be responsible for the cleanliness of the immediate work area as well as the general property
- Be attentive to any actions, objects, or conditions that may risk accidents and/or injuries to a guest or fellow employee. Report all unsafe conditions
- Be courteous to all guests and coworkers
Qualifications
- Certificate of completion from a recognized school of cosmetology.
- Must be a graduate of a licensed Cosmetology program and hold a valid license from the California State Board of Cosmetology. Prefer a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a luxury customer service environment.
- Must possess 3 years experience in cutting, styling, and coloring hair
- A high school diploma is required
- Must meet all city and county licensing requirements
- Must be able to speak, comprehend read, and write English
- Must have strong customer service skills
- Must have strong communication skills
- Must have ability to implement and uphold service standards
- Must have ability to interact with all associates and resort guests
- Must have ability to work effectively in stressful, high-pressure situations
- Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time
Compensation:Base Pay Start Rate: $16.90
