Accounting Generalist (Full Time)

Overview

The Accounting Generalist (On Site) provides accounting and clerical support to the accounting department. 

Responsibilities

• Complete full billing, processing, collection and disbursement cycles for condo statements
• Prepares and maintains all condo accounting records as directed
• Audit condo statement transactions
• Maintain regular and professional communication with condo owners in-regards to their statements/payments; relaying any operational matters to the Owner Relations team
• Assist with tax filing as directed
• Complete full billing, processing, and collection cycles for spa memberships
• Prepares and maintains all spa member accounting records as directed
• Audit spa member statement transactions
• Maintain regular and professional communication with spa members in-regards to their statements/payments; relaying any operational matters to the Spa & Fitness team
• Prepares and submits travel agent commissions for leisure stay guests
• Maintains strong communication with the Leisure Sales team in-regards to travel agent commissions
• Addresses and/or responds to all inquiries that may be received regarding condos, spa membership, travel agent commissions and other general information
• Performs special projects and other related responsibilities as assigned
• Acts with responsibility and confidentiality towards all company assignments, property, supplies, and equipment
• Attend meetings as requested
• Perform special/ad hoc projects and other related responsibilities as assigned

Additional Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist with maintaining fixed asset management of capital purchases as directed
• Assists Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and General Accounting as directed
• Assist with Income Audit team as directed
• Assists VP of Finance and Director of Finance with tasks or other work as assigned from time to time
• Provides general resort information for guests
• Maintains an up to date working knowledge of all resort amenities as well as any special events and offerings

• Must have the ability to communicate effectively and interact well with departmental managers, guests and other associates
• Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner
• Must have a passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests

Experience, Education, & Licensure:

• High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred.
• Experience with hotel property management system (Opera) preferred.
• Hotel accounting background preferred

Compensation

Base Pay Start Rate: $26.50/Hr.
