Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the PCBA Technician will install and rework SMT and T/H components.Weekday shift (Monday-Thursday) from 6:00AM - 4:30PM.Key Duties and Responsibilities Hand Soldering SMT and T/H components using both a soldering iron and a hot air solderingPrepping ComponentsLoading and Operating SMT and T/H equipmentPerform rework on SMT and T/H componentsCapable of PCBA reworkSome experience in selective soldering machine and willing to learnPerform general housekeeping tasks and following all procedures and processes to Terran Orbital standardsQualification and Skills 5 years of experience with PCBA assembly in a high-mix mid-volume environment (8 years preferred)5 years of experience operating SMT equipmentFamiliarity with 6S housekeeping practicesCurrent IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 certificationsCapable of using ohmmeter and other test equipment to verify product integrity.Ability to perform inspection of the PCBA per IPC-A-610Performing rework and repair of the complex PCBA's per IPC-7711/21Experience with engineering documents (drawings and BOMs)Capable of interacting with PC-based operating systems (Microsoft Suite, MES, ERP, etc.)Strong verbal and written communication skills Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.Willing to work in a cross-functional capacity and be trained to perform all manufacturing-related processes.Energy and passion for inventing and creating new solutions, challenging the status quo, and driving positive changeU.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance Additional Differentiators Experience with BGA replacementExperience with SMT Assembly ProcessExperience with x-ray inspection systemsYour actual level and base salary will be determined case-by-case and may vary based on the job-related qualification, knowledge, skills, education, and experience.
