Job Description

We are a local green manufacturer who specializes in reclaimed woods. We locally and globally source domestic and exotic materials and reinvigorate them in our fully equipped production facility into flooring, paneling, siding, decking, tables and other surfaces. Our products often are featured in the work of acclaimed architects and designers across the United States.

We are looking for an individual to work in our Shipping and samples Departments. The ideal candidate would have experience with shipping domestically as well as having a high attention to detail. Knowledge of parcel, LTL and dedicated shipping practices are needed to perform job duties. Candidate will need to understand and know how to create and print BOL’s, shipping labels and be proficient with multiple shipping platforms. Crate building and custom pallet construction is also a plus. We have a growing team and it is important to be able to collaborate with Management and fellow employees, to make sure all shipments go out safely and on time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create and print BOL’s and shipping labels from work folders
• Follow daily shipping lists and coordinate with sales to keep customer satisfaction high
• Build custom crates and pallets for shipments
• Relay needs for shipping supplies and maintain appropriate levels for re-stock
• Operate forklift for movement of materials and load trucks for LTL shipments
• Obtain rate quotes
• Work within a team and occasionally on their own
• Bring attention to safety and quality concerns
• Work in samples department and assisting with producing product samples
• Full time M-F, 7-3:30 plus necessary overtime

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Experience with shipping domestically and internationally
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Take personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of shipments
• Ability to operate forklift and other machinery preferred
• Must be able to offer overtime and weekend work as needed

Compensation:

• Range is $17 to $22 an hour DOE
