Job Summary:
The Lake Providence Manager is responsible for the day-to-day coordination and management of land-based logistics, and operational activities for the Lake Providence area in the Services Division. This role helps ensure that equipment, personnel, and workflows operate efficiently, safely, and in accordance with Terral's policies and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Support:
- Assist with planning, scheduling, and oversight of daily land operations, including equipment dispatch, material movement, and logistics.
- Monitor field crew activities and ensure compliance with standard operating procedures.
- Respond to operational issues or emergencies and escalate when necessary.
- Team Coordination:
- Support communication between dispatch, field crews, maintenance, and management.
- Help manage workforce schedules and ensure proper staffing for land-based activities.
- Participate in hiring, training, and evaluating field staff as directed.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Enforce safety protocols and support regular safety meetings and training.
- Conduct site inspections and assist in ensuring compliance with OSHA and other safety regulations.
- Document incidents and assist with investigations and reporting.
- Asset & Inventory Management:
- Track and coordinate the use and maintenance of land-based vehicles and equipment.
- Assist with ordering and inventory control for tools, materials, and supplies.
- Support preventive maintenance and timely repair of operational assets.
- Reporting & Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of operations, incidents, inspections, and work orders.
- Prepare operational reports for senior management as required.
- Assist with process improvements and implementation of best practices.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in logistics, operations management, or related field preferred.
- 3 years of experience in a similar field.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of safety regulations, equipment operation, and fleet management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstration of strong management skills.
- Proficient in modern technology and computer systems.
- Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and environmental compliance standards.
Working Conditions:
- Combination of office and field work (must be comfortable working in outdoor conditions)
- May require irregular hours, weekend shifts, and on-call availability.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and operate standard field equipment (as applicable).
