We are seeking a software coding professional with Hanford experience for the following temporary (6-10 month) role:

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create a user interface from scratch that will present data for multiple types of users and needs
• Coordinate testing and gain approval from software review board (SRB) and production readiness review board (PRRB)
• Experience with Hanford Information Systems Inventory (HISI) grading and related processes
• Familiarity with Hanford Site software development documentation and approval processes and procedures sufficient to independently execute the work scope with input from project staff
• Assist with developing training and turnover to long-term managers of the UI

Required qualifications:

• BS in computer science or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Coding experience in .NET and/or ColdFusion (.NET preferred)
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience developing software and writing technical/software documentation at the Hanford site (10 years preferred)

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with REST API and writing database queries
• Experience developing user interface for Jama requirements management software
• Experience with full stack development, database design and implementation, and structured query language.
• Experience analyzing requirements of the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and/or similar environmental regulations for digitization in information systems
• Knowledge and/or experience with the following:
  • UI/UX Development
  • C/C
  • C#
  • Python
  • Pandas
  • Azure DevOps
  • Jira
  • React

Location: Primarily remote work in local area (Richland, Washington) with some in-person meetings and collaboration.

Rate: Competitive, will vary based on qualifications
