What are the responsibilities and job description for the Resource Representative position at Terracon?
- Answer and manage incoming communications (calls, emails, texts) and dispatch equipment and/or employees with appropriate skills or certifications to precise locations at necessary times.
- Learn to prioritize projects and manage logistics according to urgency and importance, utilizing negotiation skills when conflicts arise.
- Relay information and instruction to employees, their managers, and other project stakeholders (client, contractors, etc.) as appropriate.
- As the hub for the department, maintain communication with field units to coordinate and prioritize schedules.
- Dispatch in an incident and injury free manner consistent with Terracon’s guidelines to keep the care and concern of employees a priority.
- Communicate effectively with customers, employees, and leaders.
- Develop negotiation strategies to manage resource conflicts among employees, clients and office/regional leadership team.
- Use materials dashboard, CMELMS and other tools to effectively distribute employees and balance workload.
- Support other office duties, if needed, and work with others to meet deadlines.
- Follow safety rules and practices and other safety requirements for all projects. Performs pre-task planning prior to executing work. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
- Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience or the equivalent in training and related experience.
- Ability to use basic technology (mobile apps, email, scheduling software, etc.)
- Time management skills
- Interpersonal interaction skills
- Multi-lingual preferred in some markets
- A valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history may be required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- IIF Safety Leadership Terracon course obtained within 6 months in role.
