The role requires effective communication with laboratory supervisors, project managers, client representatives, contractor personnel, and other stakeholders regarding test results, project requirements, and field observations.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Safely transporting material samples and associated documentation to the laboratory for further testing.
- Accurately tabulating, preparing, and submitting data and observations in written and digital formats for daily transmittal to the Lab and/or Terracon Project Manager.
- Maintaining and cleaning equipment and ensuring work areas remain organized.
- Strictly adhering to all company and project safety standards.
- Perform testing, observation, and inspection in accordance with training and established procedures.
- Provide clear and accurate documentation of findings and results.
- Conduct basic data analysis to verify accuracy prior to communication or submission.
- Communicate relevant information to the Lab or Project Manager and other personnel as directed.
- Assist senior technicians with more complex tasks.
- Maintain assigned equipment, including calibration and routine upkeep.
- Follow all safety rules, complete pre-task planning, and promptly report any safety concerns to management.
- Uphold quality standards on all assigned projects.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency using a laptop and Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Successful completion of applicable internal safety certifications.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving history.
