Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Team Lead to join our team at Terraces of Boise, a HumanGood community. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the exceptional care and service we provide to our residents.
About the Role
The Care Team Lead will oversee the provision of health, emotional, social, and spiritual care for residents in our Assisted Living Program. This includes supervising and monitoring the work of certified nursing assistants (CNAs), resident advocates (RAs), and other assisted living personnel. Key responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, and appraising staff performance; maintaining standards and addressing employee problems; writing performance evaluations; and communicating with doctors, laboratory, pharmacy, and resident families regarding resident care.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the Assisted Living Program
- Supervise and monitor the work of CNAs, RAs, and other AL personnel
- Recruit, hire, train, and appraise staff performance
- Maintain standards and address employee problems
- Write performance evaluations and recommend discipline or promotion of staff
- Communicate with doctors, laboratory, pharmacy, and resident families regarding resident care
- Assess, report, and deal with unusual symptoms/emergencies of residents
- Coordinate with Health and Wellness Manager for medical advice on AL residents, transfers to the Health Center, and on admissions, care, and discharge
- Monitor emergency calls on computer terminal and respond as needed
- Conduct work tasks safely and in compliance with the facility safety program
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Bachelor's Degree in a healthcare, social science, or business discipline
- Minimum 1-3 years of related experience, including supervisory experience working in healthcare, senior living, or strong service environment
- RCFE Certification required
- Current CPR certification
