Position Summary: A skilled Part-Time Cook will assist in the preparation and serving of meals for our residents for the morning shift. The ideal candidate will be be enthusiastic, possess a helpful nature, have experience in cooking for large groups, and demonstrate creativity and flexibility in menu planning.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook nutritious and delicious meals for residents.
- Ensure that all meals are prepared in a timely manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area.
- Assist with inventory management.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Provide excellent customer service to residents.
Qualifications:
- Compassionate and patient demeanor with a genuine desire to facilitate teamwork.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Proven experience as a Cook in a similar setting, preferably in an Assisted Living or healthcare environment.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Strong cooking skills and the ability to prepare a variety of dishes from scratch.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Current food handler's permit or willingness to obtain one.
