Budtender

Terrace Cannabis is seeking passionate and personable individuals for both full-time and part-time Budtenders to join our team. An ideal candidate has extensive cannabis product knowledge and customer service experience.

Budtenders will provide friendly and helpful customer service, guiding customers to the best cannabis products to fit their unique needs. While doing so, a budtender must maintain compliance with all cannabis retail regulations and keep the sales floor and display cases clean and orderly.

Qualified applicants have retail sales and customer service experience. Cannabis industry experience is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities:

• Provide quality customer service that encourages customer loyalty
• Educate customers and politely handle their questions, concerns, and complaints
• Operate point of sale software to complete sales
• Handles all POS payments including cash
• Assist with opening and closing standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Maintain sales floor, including restocking merchandise and cleaning/organizing displays
• Maintain cannabis knowledge by completing 8 hours of required training per calendar year
• Answer phones, assist receptionist, fulfill orders and assist management with inventory audits
• Validify customer identification

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Knowledgeable of cannabis basics including products, strains, and consumption methods
• 1-3 years retail sales or customer service experience, preferably in cannabis industry
• Friendly, personable, and service-oriented
• Previous experience with a POS system
• Must have the ability to lift a minimum of 25lbs on a regular basis
• This job includes walking and standing for extended periods of time
• Ability to effectively communicate
• Strong understanding of state regulations related to cannabis operations.
• Ability to work holidays, evenings and weekends as needed
• Passionate about learning and staying current on cannabis products and trends
• Minimum 21 years of age
• Must possess valid driver’s license or state ID
• Must pass any and all required background checks
• Must maintain current IDFPR Dispensary Agent Card

Compensation:

$15 per hour
