RV Resort Development Manager is responsible for overseeing the creation of new RV resorts and major expansions, which include project planning, budget management, and ensuring compliance with regulations. This role involves strategic planning, site selection, and working with various stakeholders, distinct from a daily operations manager who focuses on day-to-day tasks. Key duties include coordinating construction and development activities along with managing financial aspects from conception to completion.
Key responsibilities
- Identifying suitable locations for new campgrounds, considering factors like accessibility and local amenities.
- Overseeing the entire development process, from initial concept to final construction and opening.
- Budget and financial management: Developing and managing project budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring financial viability.
- Ensuring all aspects of the development adhere to local, state, and federal regulations and permits.
- Collaborating with architects, engineers, contractors, and government officials.
- Identifying and mitigating potential risks throughout the development lifecycle.
- Conducting market research to understand demand and create a competitive and profitable business model.
Required skills and qualifications
- Proven experience in project management, preferably with a focus on RV resort or hospitality development.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, financial analysis, and cost control.
