Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Nuclear Engineer role based in Los Alamos, NM. The Nuclear Engineer will be responsible for designing and analyzing nuclear systems, ensuring operational safety, and optimizing performance within nuclear energy and power generation. Responsibilities include conducting safety assessments, developing and implementing innovative nuclear technologies, and collaborating to improve system reliability and efficiency. The role requires rigorous analysis, compliance with regulatory standards, and working within a multidisciplinary team to support project goals.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Nuclear Engineering and systems analysis
- Strong knowledge of Nuclear Safety, regulatory compliance, and risk management
- Experience in the design, operation, or maintenance of Nuclear Energy systems
- Familiarity with technologies and operational procedures of Nuclear Power Plants
- Deep understanding of nuclear principles and applications in the energy sector
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Nuclear Engineering or a related field
- Experience in government or defense-related projects is a plus
- Security clearance or eligibility is preferred
