We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Terra di Siena USA in Mechanicsville, VA.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Monitor and verify compliance with food safety and quality programs.
- Review and maintain HACCP, SSOP, GMP, and other food safety documentation.
- Conduct routine inspections of production areas to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Assist with internal audits, traceability exercises, and corrective action programs.
- Review production, sanitation, receiving, and shipping records for accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate product sampling and laboratory testing programs.
- Investigate quality issues and assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Train and support employees on food safety and quality procedures.
- Assist with third-party audits, customer audits, and regulatory inspections.
- Follow applicable State and Federal governmental regulations, including but not limited to HACCP, USDA, FSMA, PCQI, OSHA, GMP, and Health Department requirements.
Who We Are Looking For:
- Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented individual.
- Experience in food safety, quality assurance, or food manufacturing required.
- HACCP Certification preferred.
- Knowledge of USDA, FSMA, GMPs, SSOPs, and food safety regulations preferred.
- Italian language skills preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and electronic recordkeeping systems.

Schedule:
Flexible schedule with a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week. Standard business hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
